I'm facing a serious issue with our web application (running on IIS7 on a W2k8 machine). It's been working fine for the last couple of months. But since yesterday, IE (so far tested on IE 9 and 10) doesn't recieve the WebResource.axd file anymore, and therefore I get errors like "Reference error: "ValidatorEnable" is not defined". Also the style attributes for the elements defined in the .aspx are missing. It looks suspiciously like the issue in this thread: webresource.axd is missed in IE10. But i don't really want to install the hotfix since I don't have the same symtoms (in that thread IE9 worked). Could it be, that IIS for some reason doesn't recognize IE anymore? Any help on finding the cause of this issue is greatly appreciated!
Cheers Tobi
