Fairly new to this so having trouble searching for the right approach as well.
I am a new network admin at a small college.
We have a file server hosting homeshare drives for students,
IE \\server\students$\username
I am trying to set up webdav to allow students to access their homeshare from home but I am having troubles with permissions and other nags.
How can I do this through my webdav server?
currently I have tried setting up a virtual application to point to \\server\students$
However it will not map,
It will map if I use the "connect as" feature and use a domain admin for example, however then every student has access to anyones folder.
I have tried making a doman account with only read sharing permissions on \\server\student$, however this also allows full read to any sub folders for students.
Sorry to be so vague, I am still trying to get my head around this.
