Hello!
I´m having some troubles with my FTP-Site. I have a windows server 2012(wich i call a normal server) in wich is runing hyper-v(wich i call hyper-V server) with windows server 2012 too.
The Homepage and the ftp server have to work from the Hyper-v maschine, the Homepage works great, but the FTp doesn´t.
At the beginning I was thinking it could be some problems with the permissions, because I was getting some 503 the username and password doesn´t exist.
After googlen, I found that I can try if the FTP really works, so I try it via CMD in the Hyper-v server -> ftp localhost, then ask me for my user and pass and work, so permissions is not the thing..
But what it could be?
So maybe the configuration in the Hyper-V maschine is not the problem, so it was time to search in the server itself. At here, I´ve not made some changes in the Hyper-V Server.
I found that in the normal server IIS is running too, so I deactivated the ftp-site and for my surprice the FTP error message was anotherone "ECONNREFUSED".
So was I made, just for testing(and with the FTP-Site activated), is changing the password, but this time I wrote the password from the normal server itself. Bum! Works, yeah works, but not like i want it. It just open a folder from the normal server itself and not the from the Hyper-V server.
So, FTP works, but not like I want it, every configuration it was made to work directly in the Hyper-V server, but it doesn´t. So I just turn off the IIS service in the normal server, just for re-trying if anything happends:
With IIS activated: Website works, FTP works.
With IIS deactivated: Website works, ftp doesn´t.
And when i say website works, i mean the website direct in the Hyper-V maschine.
So at here i don´t know what to do, if the website request go directly to the hyper-v server, why the FTP doesn´t? And what i have to do for make it work?
Every test was made it direct in the server, also as localhost. Regrettably from another computer with filezilla, I was unable to make contact with one or another password..
