IIS7 subdomain redirection

Hi all, I have what I hope is an easy question for someone in the know.  I have read lots of other threads but they all seem so over complication, with slightly different requirements.

I have a windows home server setup with external access, I also want to setup Subsonic (music streaming service) on the server that responds on a subdomain name, example.

Remote.home.com - this was configured by WHS, uses an SSL certificate and responds on the default website.
Music.home.com - second site called 'subsonic' created and configured by myself (with some subsonic instructions), it uses tomcat for some redirection but I don't think this is actually working so want to stick with IIS if possible.

Both the remote & music domains refer to my external IP address, so both natively resolve back to the default website - how do I leave the default website intact but redirect any requests that come via music.home.com to the subsonic site?

I've tried playing around with URL rewrite and HTTP redirect rules but none of these seem to work - although it's quite possible I'm just doing it completely wrong.

 Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks
Lawrence
