How do you disable a handler mapping in IIS 7

I have two handler mappings on my Windows 2008, IIS 7 web server that I need to disable (ISAPI-dll and CGI-exe). I can't find an option to do that on the Handler mappings page, and the applicationhost.config on the server I need to disable it on looks identical to the one on the server where they are disabled.  Can anyone tell me how to disable them?
