Hi guys, I came from LAMP server and my school teaches classic ASP so I installed IIS 8 on my Windows 8 machine. I am new to IIS so if you can be patient for me, please do help me so I can learn. When I created a new website in IIS, I followed the tutorials and named my IIS website myfirstsite with port 80 and IP Address 192.168.1.105. Then started creating the website. I created a basic file called index.htm and placed it on the directory of myfirstsite. But when I type myfirstsite:80 in google chrome, it shows"Oops! Google Chrome could not find myfirstsite". But when I type 192.168.1.105:80, it shows the default IIS interface when you type localhost in the address bar. I tried 192.168.1.105:80/index.htm but it is a 404 error. Can anyone help me please? I tried to google but no luck.
