Windows 2012 Internet Printing - Custom ASP Pages?

Hi all,

I have several Windows 2012 servers with internet printing enabled. We plan to allow users to access printers using this by going to http://printserver/printers. Each server is for a major set of sites in our organization.

What I am trying to do now is to go one step further by allowing each site to access only their printers, on the specific server they are assigned. All of the printers start with a site code (a three digit number) so I just want to key off that.

Server1 might have printers starting with 001, 002, 003, 004, etc. I want custom asp pages that only show the printers from 001, and another for 002, and so on. We will give the users in those areas a link that goes directly to that page only.

I have copies of the ipp_0001.asp files and was going to name the new ones ipp_0001_"site code".asp. Then users should be able to go to http://printserver/printers/ipp_0001_"sitecode".asp.

This looks like it would be fairly straightforward but I've never done anything with asp pages and want to make sure it is done correctly. Is this the right way to go about this? How can this be accomplished?

Thanks in advance,

Ethan
