Is This Possible?

 Hey All,

I'm a Systems Engineer who's working closely with my company's Web Team to convert a majority of our public web site to Joomla. Obviously the content conversion is handled by the Web Team, but I've been tasked with configuring the architecture and IIS.

The caveat is that the Web Team wants the home page to be Joomla, but there will still be ASP content. Essentially, about 30-40% of the site will be PHP, and the rest will be remain ASP.

Is this possible? Right now in testing, I'm running two separate IIS instances (ASP and PHP), both bound to the same IP address, but the PHP instance is utilizing host names. Since ASP content only lives in the ASP IIS instance, anytime I attempt to jump from a Joomla page to ASP, I receive an "The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable," error.

It seems easier to just have two different sites, an ASP one and Joomla, and rewrite links / URL's for ASP content to the appropriate site. Does anyone have any suggestions or know if it's even possible to have one IIS instance and Joomla and ASP content?

I'm using Windows Server 2012, IIS 8. Thanks.
