I'm a web developer who got thrown into a bad situation. Our network / internet admin guy suddenly left and we have no one to take over his duties at the moment. We have an ASP.Net MVC 5 web site that was working and now it's acting up. Suddenly yesterday, we lost all our styling on our web site. After posting this problem on the MVC development site, some good folks told me we are getting a "401" on our CSS file which means Access Denied. Someone probably accidentally changed something in IIS while not knowing what they were doing.
So our web pages display with no styles applied. In the developer forum, I was told that CSS files are downloaded from the server but now that access is denied. So I'm hoping someone here can help me fix this problem. I'm desperate here due to the fact that I never have messed with IIS, permissions, etc.
I'm hoping someone can help me out. Be gentle since I'm really out of my realm here.
