Hello community, my organization is currently utilizing IIS 8 (server 2012 non R2) in a webfarm configuration. currently the applicationhost.config is shared among 2 webserver as well as a common WWWRoot for 100+ websites. the purpose of this farm was to create a cookie cutter / quick deployment website for internal users to use. all of the sites are configured for anonymous authentication with the application pool running as a domain user account. 1 account per application pool to prevent cross pollination. recently we had a request to enable windows authentication and disable anonymous, which is easily done in the application host.config. the issue that we are now facing is that while .aspx content is served up after authentication, .css and .js files seem to not be authorized and users are reprompted for creds. i have searched quite a bit on the subject but i have not been able to resolve this. any input of help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. i can provide the app host or web.config if anyone has an idea.
