Hi All,

In a web application landscape where  Web application is using ASP.NET2.0 hosted in IIS7.5 under Windows 2008 server and App Server using WCF hosted in another Windows 2008 server.

In WebServer hosted in IIS 7.5 (windows 2008 server), have found the messages related to Perfmon counters in Event Log.

Would like to know the possible reasons why these messages are getting logged, during the time frame the CPU and memory usage are very much in normal levels.

Messages in Event Log:

It has taken too long to refresh the W3SVC counters, the stale counters are being used instead.

It has taken too long to refresh the W3SVC counters, the stale counters are being used instead.  This is the second message within the past 12:00:00 (hours, minutes, seconds).  No more stale counter messages will be logged for this client session until the time limit expires.

Thanks,

Prasanna
