i have set up an FTP server with windows server 2012 and IIS 8.1 manager.
default port 21 ftp works fine both internal and externally.
my only issue is that a staff that needs access to the ftp server from home his ISP blocks port 21 , and i want to set up a different ftp site using a different port with the same public IP.
i have done so and open the port through the router and firewall of windows server and tested the port and it is open.
but when the person from home try to access ftp it only prompt for log in and when log in details inserted page cannot be displayed. also tried with ftp client such as file zilla and cute ftp same problem cannot be connected error.
when tested locally internally ftp works fine on the different port only external.
please i would appreciate anyone can help me out with this or work around ??
